My Football

The book My Football features selected shots from the archive of the renowned photojournalist Varlam (Valiko) Gengiuri. His professional biography as a Georgian photographer spans more than half a century. Since 1961, he has worked in the press and has been a photographic chronicler of Georgian life in the second half of the 20th century.

The album contains around 300 unique photographs by Varlam Gengiuri, all related to Tbilisi’s “Dinamo” and Georgian football. The book is accompanied by texts — the author’s biography, an overview of his creative work, and memories shared by his colleagues.

The photo album “My Football” preserves the stadium’s sounds, the emotions, and the spirit of the era — it is a history of sport, photography, and memory, which will delight everyone who loves football, photographic art, Georgian sport and culture.
